Horsemanship Camps
Horsemanship camps are designed for kids 8-15ish. We do lots of horseback riding, painting, animal care, and meet some cool friends along the way. Our day starts at 8:30am with drop off as early as 8am and pick up at 4pm promptly. We learn as much as possible in the 5 short days so highly encouraged not to miss one. Basic horsemanship starts with safety around the horse, correctly identifying breeds, colors, and parts of the body. We learn how to halter our own horse, groom correctly, saddle, bridle and ride. All participants must wear a helmet and are required to sign a waiver. Please know safety is the upmost important thing. While I will do my best to ensure each camper’s safety at all times, horse have a mind of their own and have off days. I like to assign each camper to their own horse for the week, but horse changes may be necessary to ensure safety.
Things you will need to bring:
Clothes & shoes to get wet or dirty in, a towel, a sack lunch if you do not like what is being provided that day, sun screen, or bug spray as needed, a labeled backpack & water bottle.
