What do you need to know about riding with us?

Answers to most of our FAQ ->

We offer Horsemanship lessons for ages 3+. We offer private and group settings. Our groups will have no more than 5 riders on school owned lesson horses. While our ground lessons can have up to 15 in a lesson. We recommend that 7 and younger ride for 30 minutes while 8 and older can handle an hour.

We learn all about the horse: anatomy, care, and of course how to ride. Not every horse we own is rideable and lesson horses are subject to change week to week. We do our best to ensure you are suited with a horse that your personalities will not clash.

We will provide everything you need to physically ride the horse from mounting blocks to get on, tack, and helmets. You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own helmet, but they MUST be equestrian style with the occipital bone protection.

Those who have ridden before are subject to evaluation, and first several lessons are based solely on the evaluation of riding ability. We start slow and correct to ensure I have the opportunity to address any bad habits that I do not want brought to my horses.

We ride Monday through Friday with make-up rides being held one Saturday a month or the occasional Sunday.

We have a lesson contract & waiver. You will be responsible for filling both out. Please check out our cancellation & rescheduling policy before scheduling. We have limited availability and all lessons will go on as scheduled unless Instructor has contacted you otherwise. BAD weather and Holiday’s will be made up and does not go against your attendance. HOME PAGE UNDER CONTRACT & WAIVER.

Closed toed shoes are REQUIRED! We will ask you to spit out chewing gum while on the horse.

Shorts are okay with 5” or longer inseams. Tank tops are okay with 2” or wider straps. PLEASE keep in mind saddles are leather and they get hot in the summer, as well as are rough in texture. They can cause chaffing and jeans or leggings are the best fit for riding.

PLEASE BRING a bottle of water or jacket/coat as needed. Please wear a quieter coat. Please wear sunscreen or bug spray as needed.
